Overview
Have you ever wondered if it’s possible to win a duel in Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links on the very first turn? The answer is yes.
A small group of decks known as FTK decks (First Turn Kill decks) can end a duel during the first turn—without ever declaring an attack. These strategies rely entirely on precise card interactions, effect timing, and game mechanics rather than combat.
In this guide, you will learn everything there is to know about one of the most unique and extreme examples: the Tindangle FTK. This deck uses a complex chain of flip effects, Graveyard interactions, and Extra Deck summons to reduce your opponent’s Life Points to zero before they can even play a card.
Whether you are an experienced Duel Links player looking for something unconventional, or a newer player curious about how FTK strategies work, this guide will walk you step by step through every aspect of the deck — from unlocking the required character and skill, to obtaining the necessary cards, and finally executing the full FTK combo correctly.
✔ Players looking for fast ladder wins
✔ Combo enthusiasts who enjoy precise sequencing
x Players seeking consistent tournament performance
This is not a strong and reliable meta deck but a luck-based fragile combo deck. Any interruption usually results in an instant loss. It is suggested not to use this deck in any official tournaments (due to the very low consistency).
Deck Requirements
As you may have guessed, building an FTK deck is not an easy task. These strategies often require unlocking specific characters, obtaining unique skills, and collecting cards that are not commonly used elsewhere. The Tindangle FTK is no exception.
That said, there is no need to worry. This guide is designed to walk you through every required step in a clear and efficient way, so you won’t waste time guessing what to do next. By following this guide, you will be able to unlock the necessary tools, build the deck correctly, and start destroying your opponents as soon as possible.
1. Unlock the Mastermind
Akira Zaizen
To pilot this deck, you must unlock Akira Zaizen from the VRAINS World. As the Chief of Security for SOL Technologies, his Isometric Inferno skill allows tactical control and Graveyard manipulation and is essential for the Tindangle archetype.
2. The Core Skill: Isometric Inferno
This FTK is physically impossible without this specific skill. It provides the consistency needed to dump your combo pieces into the Graveyard immediately.
Effect: You can only use this Skill's second and third effects once per Duel.
1: At the beginning of your first turn, send 1 "Tindangle" card from your Deck to the Graveyard, then Set 1 "Stairs of Mail" from outside of your Deck to your field. During this Duel, you cannot Normal or Special Summon (excluding Special Summons from the Extra Deck) any monsters, except "Tindangle" monsters.
2: Send 1 card from your hand or field to the Graveyard, then send up to 2 cards ("Tindangle" cards and/or "Nagel's Protection") from your Deck to the Graveyard.
3: If your opponent controls a monster, all face-down Defense Position "Tindangle" monsters you control can change their battle positions this turn.
How to Obtain the Cards
Building this deck requires visiting several Boxes and farming the Gate. Here are the necessary cards and where to find them. I highly recommend to first use your tickets and/or box chips to unlock as many cards as possible. This will allow you to save your gems for the "box only" cards.
Cards obtained by levelling Akira Zaizen up to level 20
Cards obtained by Dueling Akira Zaizen (Gate)
Card obtainable using UR ticket
Cards obtainable using SR or UR Dream tickets
Cards obtainable with Box Chips (Card Trader)

FTK Combo
Executing the Tindangle FTK successfully requires navigating specific luck-based factors. This combo has an estimated 20-30% success rate depending on your opening hand, the opponent's deck and the coin toss at the start.

Execution Checklist (Going Second)
Execution Checklist (Going First)
The Whole Combo – Step by Step
Activate Skill: Isometric Inferno
At the start of your turn, the skill automatically activates. Check your hand and choose a card between Tindangle Intruder, Tindangle Delaunay, Tindangle Jhrelth or Tindangle Protector which you don't have in your hand (if you have all of those 4 cards in your hand then choose any of those cards) to send from your Deck to the GY. Then Stairs of Mail will automatically be set directly from outside your deck.
Dump the Core Pieces
Activate the first effect of Isometric Inferno. Discard from your hand a card between Tindangle Intruder, Tindangle Delaunay, Tindangle Jhrelth or Tindangle Protector different from the one that already is in your GY. Then send the remaining 2 cards between Tindangle Intruder, Tindangle Delaunay, Tindangle Jhrelth and Tindangle Protector from your Deck to the Graveyard.
Prepare the Field
Flip and activate the Continuous Spell Stairs of Mail. At this point, your GY must contain: Intruder, Jhrelth, Delaunay, and Protector.
GY Activation: Delaunay
Banish Delaunay from your GY to Special Summon Protector, Intruder, and Jhrelth in face-down defense position. Note: Do NOT place Jhrelth in the middle monster zone.
The Protector Chain
Use Stairs of Mail to discard a Tindangle (ideally Intruder but not Dholes). Then, Flip Protector and activate his effect to flip your other two monsters. Chain their effects to draw 4 cards in total (2 from Protector's effect, 1 from Jhrelth's effect and 1 from Intruder's effect). Use Jhrelth's effect to pick up Needle Ball if you don't have it already. You also need Dholes, Jhrelth and Intruder in your hand.
Link: Subterror Behemoth Fiendess
Link Summon Subterror Fiendess using Intruder and Protector. Use her effect to dump Squamata from your deck. Then special Summon a Jhrelth face-down in the middle zone. Intruder's effect will automatically activate and summon him on the field in face-down defence position. Chain Squamata's effect to dump Resh Shaddoll too.
Flip: Jhrelth
Activate Stairs of Mail's effect and send a Tindangle monster (except Dholes) from your hand to the GY to flip Jhrelth. By now you MUST have 1 Intruder in your GY. Subterror Fiendess's effect will activate and let you add another Tindangle to your hand. By now you MUST have 1 Dholes in your hand.
XYZ: Number 47 Nightmare Shark
Overlay your two Jhrelth (Level 3) to summon Nightmare Shark. Then immediately Link it away with Fiendess to summon Knightmare Unicorn. (Do not activate Unicorn's effect).
XYZ: Number 6 Atlandis
Activate Stairs of Mail's effect and use Dholes to flip your Intruder and summon a second Intruder from your GY. Then use Stairs of Mail again to flip the second Intruder and XYZ summon NR 6 Atlandis. Equip the Nightmare Shark from your GY to Atlandis, then (effect) detach it to halve the opponent's LP to 2000.
Link: Agave Dragon
Link Atlandis and Unicorn for Agave Dragon. Her effect gains you 400 LP (Crucial for the Needle Ball cost!). You now have 4400 LP.
Needle Ball Burn (The Kill)
Set Needle Ball. Use Stairs of Mail to flip it. Effect: Opponent -1000 LP, You -2000 LP. Repeat this using Resh Shaddoll Incarnation's GY effect to flip it once more.
Victory
Your opponent will reach 0 LP while you will have 400 left. Congratulations! You won on your first turn without attacking.
Stairs of Mail's effect can only be used once with every single different Tindangle card. Therefore its is necessary to have as many different Tindangle cards in your hand while executing the combo. Going second, you can afford to have 1 of "Resh Shadoll Incarnation" or "Shaddoll Squamata" in your hand, because 1 monster-flip can be done using the second effect of "Isometric Inferno" instead of "Stairs of Mail".
Technical Analysis & Notes
The Glass Cannon Problem
This deck is the definition of a "Glass Cannon." Because you rely on your Normal Summon and Skill to resolve, a single Effect Veiler or Infinite Impermanence on your first monster usually ends your turn immediately. There is no "Plan B."
The 4000 LP Math
The FTK is tuned exactly for 4000 LP. If your opponent uses a skill like LP Boost Alpha or Grit, the Needle Ball burn loop will not reach zero. Always check the opponent's total before committing to the full Agave Dragon line.
Interaction Sequencing
The most common fail point is the Tindangle Dholes timing. You must ensure you have a target in the GY before activating its effect. Mis-clicking the order of the Link Summons will lock you out of your Extra Deck zones.
Why it's not "Meta"
While terrifying, the deck lacks "Grind Game." If the FTK fails, you are left with zero resources in the deck and a weak board. It is a Ladder Cheese deck—perfect for fast wins, but too inconsistent for high-level tournaments.
